Welcome to HolaChess: Chess Online ("App", "Game", "We"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your data when using our application.

a. Information You Provide:

  • Account Data: When registering or signing in (via Google Auth / Firebase Auth), we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture URL.
  • Player Profile: Player name, Elo rating, match history (wins, draws, losses), and in-game statistics.

b. Automatically Collected Data & Third-Party Services:

  • Analytics (Firebase Analytics): Anonymous technical information including device model, OS version, language settings, and usage metrics to optimize application stability and performance.
  • Advertising Identifiers (Google AdMob): Google Advertising ID (AAID) is used to serve relevant ads, measure ad performance, and limit ad frequency.

  1. To operate online multiplayer matchmaking, leaderboards, and real-time gameplay.
  2. To save game progress, user settings, and player statistics.
  3. To display Banner, Interstitial, and Rewarded advertisements via Google AdMob to support free gameplay.
  4. To prevent fair play violations, cheating, and secure user accounts.
  5. To analyze aggregated usage trends and improve overall game performance.

  • Opt-out of Personalized Ads: Users can reset or opt-out of personalized advertising on Android by going to Settings -> Google -> Ads -> Reset/Delete Advertising ID.
  • Data Retention & Permanent Deletion:
    • You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support.holatechs@gmail.com.
    • Upon a deletion request or account inactivity, your personal data and game records will be securely retained for up to 1 year (365 days) solely for account recovery purposes (should you wish to restore your account) and dispute resolution.
    • After the 1-year retention period, all personal information and game history will be permanently purged from our servers and cannot be recovered.
